Ride a rented e-bike from JR Shin-Fuji Station to Tagonoura and enjoy the famous shirasu rice bowl at Tagonoura. With Izu in the background, enjoy riding along Suruga Bay, touring Kambara and Fuji.

Shirasu no Hachiman

The most popular dish is the Suruga 3-color bowl, a Suruga Bay specialty, topped with fresh shirasu (young of sardines), kama-age shirasu, and fresh sakura shrimp caught in Tagonoura fishing harbour. The souvenir corner sells souvenirs and gifts of shirasu and sakura shrimps landed that day. Start your cycling in comfort with some fresh shirasu from Tagonoura!

Sushidokoro Yamashichi

Sushi Restaurant Yamashichi offers sushi, sakura shrimp dishes, and dishes using local specialties in Kambara, famous for its “Shizumae Don” made with fish caught in Suruga Bay. Visitors can experience making DENBU (a food product made by seasoning and roasting broken fish and other ingredients) using sakura shrimp. Make the unparalleled experience of making DENBU a memorable part of your cycling.

A house with a clinic built in 1914 by Jun Igarashi to open a dental. It is registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan in recognition of its unique form, which retains the characteristics of a townhouse but has a Western-style exterior.

Tsubame-no-Yado, a hostel with a blend of Japanese and Western style, is located in Kambara, a peaceful lodging town with a rich history, and is particular about wood and tatami mats. Nishio Shoten

A manufacturer and wholesaler of dried bonito flakes in Kambara, overlooking Suruga Bay, has been focusing on dashi for over 100 years. They change their suppliers depending on the season to secure quality ingredients that are in season at that time. They are proud of our HONBUSHI, which is made by a far-infrared baking method that concentrates the flavor and aroma, and is produced by craftsmen who spend more than half a year carefully preparing the product. Lumos café 

 “Lumos café” which means “light” in Latin. The cafe’s name comes from the fact that it is the only light in the vicinity of the store at night. With a stylish exterior that blends in with the landscape, visitors can enjoy the antique atmosphere of a renovated old building.

Agricultural Activities


This farm is located on the banks of the Fuji River overlooking Mt. Fuji. Without using any pesticides or chemical fertilizers, the farm absorbs plenty of nutrients from the fields, and you can taste delicious vegetables that are packed with flavor.

Uchida Farm Fuji-Sun Sun-Banana

Bananas are cultivated without using pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or herbicides, using abundant groundwater in a mild climate and with carefully selected soil. They grow and harvest bananas called Babyna, which can be eaten from the skin.

Agri- Challenge Park Kanbara

An agricultural experience facility consisting of an “agricultural experience plaza” and a “lawn plaza” located on high ground in the Kambara district. Visitors can experience planting and harvesting vegetables in a vast field that differs from a home garden. In summer, the field of sunflowers is in full bloom.
